Contraindications

Laughter Yoga which is lots of fun though it is also physical, cardio exercise.

We briefly explain these contraindications at the start of each workshop.

As an organiser, please read the following is a list of contraindications to ensure your participants are happy to participate in laughter exercises.

·         severe orthopaedic conditions acute thyroiditis
·         elevated or low potassium levels
·         uncontrolled diabetes, blood pressure greater than 200 systolic
or 110 diastolic
·         uncontrolled hypertension, orthostatic hypotension, recent blood clot
·         acute illness, fever or dehydration, congestive heart failure
·         severe heart disease, uncontrolled, irregular heart rhythms
·         unstable angina, uncontrolled-abnormal heart rhythms
·         severe aortic stenosis, and suspected or known dissecting aneurysm
·         pulmonary infarction, severe shortness of breath
·         inflammation or infection in the heart or any other systemic infection

The following conditions are advisory and should be considered carefully before and taking advice from your GP

·         hernia, incontinence, bleeding hemorrhoids
·         pregnancy first and last trimester, major surgeries within three months
·         epilepsy, colds and flu, severe back ache
·         alcohol and recreational drugs

Terms and Conditions

Your preferred workshop date will be held for 7 days after being mutually agreed.

Please return your booking form within 7 days of receiving it. An invoice will be sent shortly after receipt of your booking form. Payment is due within 14 days (unless agreed otherwise below).

Cancellations within 30 days of the workshop date incur a 50% fee. Cancellation within 14 days of the workshop date - 100% fee payable. If you need to rearrange the workshop date, please provide at least 14 days' notice. The same workshop fee will be applicable if you re-book within 3 months.

If there are extraordinary circumstances where Sunny Turner of Serious Laughter is unavoidably ill or delayed, such as extremely heavy traffic due to an accident, flood or emergency, they will alert you to this and rearrange to a mutually convenient time or commence the session as soon as possible.

Consent and Acknowledgement

I hereby accept liability for our community group's participation in any and all activities facilitated by Serious Laughter during the Laughter Yoga session(s). In exchange for the acceptance I assume all risks and hazards incidental to the conduct of the activities, and release, absolve and hold harmless Serious Laughter and all its respective officers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability for injuries arising out of travelling to, participating in, or returning from selected Laughter Yoga sessions.
