Barton Hill Farms is interviewing for the 2020 Fall Festival & PUMPKIN PATCH!!!
We are seeking dependable people with excellent work ethics, positive attitudes, & smiling faces to join our 2020 Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch team! There are some things we would like for one to consider before applying:
-Festival pay for non-managment positions will vary based on experience. Non-management employees can qualify for a Bonus paid at the end of the season. That bonus is paid ONLY if an employee has not missed a scheduled shift for work. Managers/Team Leaders are paid a higher hourly wage and have the opportunity for more hours. Managers/Team Leaders will assume more responsibility and are accountable for their team performance. Team Leaders must be qualified and have management experience.
-All Employees are required to wear the official Barton Hill Farms uniform. Shirts are embroidered, high quality, non-wicking material and only cost the employee $30.00 each. (Returning Employees may use a shirt from a previous season, IF the shirt is in great shape!) BHF Trucker Caps are $10.
-In order to be considered for employment positions, one must have: an email that is checked regularly, transportation to/from work, and must commit to work two shifts on every opening weekend in October! This year Barton Hill Farms will be open to the public every Saturday and Sunday in October... ALSO NEW TO THIS SEASON, WE WILL BE OPEN WEEKENDS, UNTIL MID-NOVEMBER! Weekends in November are NOT mandatory. Preference for extended season hours will be given to: 1) Employees over 18, 2) Employees that have excellent attendance, 3) Employees with experience at Barton Hill Farms.
-The farm will be open to the public Fridays & also on Monday, Columbus Day, in October! We will not open to the public on the first Friday in October. However, WE WILL BE OPEN ON *Friday(s), October 9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th... Columbus Day is Monday, October 12th. *Note: The Employee Bonus for EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE WILL APPLY to Fridays and Columbus Day as well! In-other-words, one is not required to work on a Friday but will be bonused on those hours, if worked.
-The Fall Festival's employee working hours generally range from 8 AM-7 PM, on any opening day. Hours available may depend on weather and ticket sales. Employee hours may be scheduled from one hour before opening to one hour after closing time. Hours are not guaranteed. This is a seasonal, part-time job that WILL end after the 2020 festival closes!
-Orientation and Training are MANDATORY TO ALL EMPLOYEES-for both new and returning staff. Those dates will be announced in an email to individuals invited to join our Fall 2020 Team. Orientation and Training cannot be missed! We will be covering BHF's New Policies regarding COVID-19 Safety for Employees and Guests. We will also cover General Farm Knowledge and Policies as well as new systems and procedures for the event.
-BHF Food and Beverage employees MUST aquire the TABC Certificate and a Texas Food Handler's Certificate. (One MUST be 18 to sell alcohol. However, ALL F&B Staff at Barton Hill Farms must have TABC knowledge. In Texas, anyone may enroll in a TABC course, regardless of age.) Barton Hill Farms no longer pays or reimburses for these certificates. However, Food & Beverage Employees do make more per hour. Both are easily attainable and accessible via several accredited training sites. The fee is nominal and should cost around $17-20 dollars for both courses. Scores are immediate and certificates must be printed or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org before one can begin training. We do not endorse any single certification course but have used in the past: www.learn2serve.com or www.servsafe.com
