• Turn the Page SLPs!

    Diverse books for speech/language therapy
  • The Communication Sciences & Disorders department at the University of Delaware is providing SLPs with free books with diverse characters. This project was inspired by Sierrah Harris's capstone project, where she surveyed SLPs about the books they use in therapy and analyzed the racial makeup of the main characters. She found that books containing characters of color and culturally relevant literacy experiences are not widely used by SLPs -- our goal is to help fix that!

To find out more about Sierrah's project, visit udel.edu/007467. For resources related to diverse books, visit linktr.ee/diversebooks4SLPs.
