By signing up for a Big Round World trip I agree to be bound by the following terms:

Big Round World’s responsibility is limited. Big Round World acts only as an agent for the various independent suppliers that provide ​accommodations, transportation, food or other services connected with this trip. Such services are subject to the terms and conditions of those suppliers. Big Round World and their respective employees, agents, representatives, trip leaders, local guides and assigns accept no liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or any other incident which may be caused by the negligence, defect, default of any company or person in performing these services. Responsibility is not accepted for losses, injury, damages or expenses of any kind due to sickness, weather, strikes, hostilities, wars, terrorist acts, acts of nature, local laws or other such causes. All services and accommodations are subject to the laws and regulations of the country in which they are provided. Big Round World is not responsible for any baggage or personal effects of any individual participating in the tours trips arranged by Big Round World. Individual travelers are responsible for purchasing a travel insurance policy, if desired, that will cover some of the expenses associated with the loss of luggage or personal effects.

I understand that during my participation in this Big Round World Trip, I may be exposed to a variety of hazards and risks, foreseen or unforeseen, which are inherent in each Trip and cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of the Trip. These inherent risks include, but are not limited to, the dangers of serious personal injury, death and property damage (“Injuries and Damages”) from exposure to the hazards of travel and Big Round World has not tried to contradict or minimize my understanding of these risks. I know that Injuries and Damages can occur by natural causes or activities of other persons, animals, trip members, Big Round World and their respective employees, agents, representatives, trip leaders, local guides and assigns either as a result of negligence or because of other reasons. I understand that risks of such Injuries and Damages are involved in adventure travel such as Big Round World Trips and I appreciate that I may have to exercise extra care for my own person and for others around me in the face of such hazards. I further understand that on this Trip there may not be rescue or medical facilities or expertise necessary to deal with the Injuries and Damages to which I may be exposed.

Big Round World reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the itinerary where deemed necessary or reasonable for the comfort and safety of trip members.

Big Round World reserves the right to decline to accept or retain me as a trip participant should my physical ability to complete the trip, behavior, health or mental condition impede the operation of the trip as determined by the Trip Leader. Trip Leaders have the right to disqualify me at any time during the trip if they feel I am incapable of continuing and/or if my continued participation jeopardizes the group's or my own safety and or enjoyment of the trip. Under these circumstances, refunds are not given.

Contracting COVID-19, the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, is a new risk for everyone and (like other risks) cannot be eliminated. At times, trip participants will be in close proximity to each other or trip leader(s). By participating in a Big Round World trip I acknowledge this new risk and accept full responsibility for my own health. I understand and acknowledge that the trip leader(s) will use their best efforts to keep me, and the other trip participants safe. I also acknowledge and understand the trip leader(s) will work to encourage responsible behavior on the part of trip participants but can not enforce it.

Trip Price

The trip price as advertised is fixed. There are no unexpected extras, fluctuations in charges, currency adjustments** or surprise fees. The price you see is the price you pay.
** Big Round World reserves the right to increase the trip price in the event currency fluctuations between the US Dollar and the currency of the country to be visited exceed the norm for the previous two years.

Big Round World trip prices are based on double/ twin occupancy of rooms.

Single supplements are oftentimes available, albeit on a limited basis and with an extra
cost. Please inquire about availability and price before signing up.

How to sign up

Fully complete the following three forms (required for each group member):

Liability Form - for persons under the age of 18, the liability form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Acceptance of all persons is subject to Trip Leader approval.

Your reservation is not confirmed until your non-refundable deposit payment and fully completed trip paperwork (Trip Application, Medical and Liability Forms) are received by Big Round World. Some trips require Trip Leader approval for participation to confirm trip compatibility and thereby individual and group safety.

Trip Payment

At time of reservation:           Deposit of 25% of trip price or amount detailed in the trip brochure, non-refundable

90 days prior to departure:     Balance

A reminder will be sent to you 120 days/ 4 months before the departure date.

Trip Insurance

Travel/ medical/ evacuation insurance is not included in the price of your trip but is strongly encouraged.

Cancellations and Refunds

We regret we cannot make exceptions to our refund policy for personal emergencies, unexpected circumstances, or cancellations. No refunds will be made for a "No-show" at the starting point of a trip, leaving a Trip in progress, or for any unused portions of a trip for any reason whatsoever. No partial refunds will be given for unused hotel rooms, meals, sightseeing trips, hiking arrangements, or any other included activities of the trip. For these reasons, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.

Trip Cancellation - By You:

If you need to cancel from a trip you must tell us in writing by email at contact@bigroundworld.com. Cancellation fees will be applied per person according to the following based on the date we receive your written notification.

More than 90 days prior to departure – Trip deposit *.
* If you are not approved by the Trip Leader, your full deposit will be returned, minus credit card fees incurred by Big Round World as a result of your choice to pay by credit card.

Within 90 days to 61 days prior – 35% of the trip price.

Within 60 - 31 days prior – 50% of the trip price.

Within 30 days prior - 100% of the trip price.

Your full trip reservation may be transferable should you provide an appropriate alternate participant (depends on a variety of trip variables and includes the physical ability of your replacement to complete the trip).

No refunds will apply to unused portions of a trip once the tour begins.

Trip Cancellation - By Big Round World:

We reserve the right to cancel a trip in the event of external circumstances beyond our control. In the event of such a cancellation, full or partial refunds, if any, will be at Big Round World’s sole discretion. Big Round World is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by you in preparing for the trip (including non-refundable air tickets, visa fees, medical expenses, etc.).

Each trip requires a minimum number of participants. If enough people sign up and the trip is confirmed, trip participants will be alerted so they can make their travel arrangements. If a trip doesn't have enough participants, you may either transfer to another trip (no fee incurred), be refunded your deposit (minus credit card fee) or you might be able to pay a supplemental fee to run the trip with fewer participants.

In consideration for my acceptance as a participant on this Trip, and the services and amenities to be provided by Big Round World in connection with the Trip, I confirm my understanding that:

I have read any rules and conditions applicable to the Trip made available to me; I will pay any costs and fees for the Trip; and I acknowledge my participation is at the discretion of the Trip Leader.

The Trip officially begins and ends at the location(s) designated by Big Round World. The Trip does not include carpooling, transportation, or transit to and from the Trip, and I am personally responsible for all risks and costs associated with this travel. This does not apply to transportation provided by Big Round World during the Trip.

If I decide to leave early and not to complete the Trip as planned, I assume all risks and costs inherent in my decision to leave and waive all liability against Big Round World arising from that decision. Likewise, if the Trip Leader has concluded the Trip, and I decide to go forward without the Trip Leader, I assume all risks and costs inherent in my decision to go forward and waive all liability against Big Round World arising from that decision.

If someone transmits SARS-CoV-2 to me, I agree to HOLD HARMLESS Big Round World and their respective employees, agents, representatives, trip leaders, local guides and assigns from any claims, damages, injuries or losses caused by my contracting COVID-19. In the event I develop COVID-19 while on the trip resulting in my removal from the trip and subsequent isolation/ quarantine/ hospitalization/ evacuation, I assume all risks and costs inherent in such action and waive all liability against Big Round World.

This Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law. If any provision or any part of any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or legally unenforceable for any reason, the remainder of this Agreement shall not be affected thereby and shall remain valid and fully enforceable.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY Big Round World and their respective employees, agents, representatives, trip leaders, local guides and assigns from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from Injuries and Damages, even if caused by negligence of Big Round World and their respective employees, agents, representatives, trip leaders, local guides and assigns, in any way connected with this Trip. I further agree to HOLD HARMLESS Big Round World and their respective employees, agents, representatives, trip leaders, local guides and assigns from any claims, damages, injuries or losses caused by my own negligence while a participant on the Trip. I understand and intend that this assumption of risk and release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and includes any minors accompanying me on the Trip.

I am aware that Big Round World staff or others sometimes capture photographs, quotes, or other impressions or recordings of participants and share them with Big Round World for use in a variety of ways, such as (but not limited to) in trip brochures, web pages, or social media of Big Round World. I agree (and Minor Participant, if any) not to restrict or condition such use in any way.

I have read this document in its entirety and I freely and voluntarily assume all risks of such Injuries and Damages and notwithstanding such risks, I agree to participate in the Trip.

I have read, I understand, and I agree to Big Round World Trips Reservation and Cancellation Policy.
