Each participant is placed with an Icelandic family for the homestay period, generally in the area where their ancestors lived. Placements vary each year, with some participants in the capital area, some in smaller towns, and some on farms or other remote places. Do you have any concerns about staying on a rural farm or in a small town in a remote area? If so, please explain.
