We are launching the Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Committee to address the challenges of inequities in our organization as well as in the field of childbirth education.
This committee is being developed with a racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse team to strategize and tackle these global challenges in the context of the childbirth education and ICEA community.
It is our hope that through promoting inclusive environments; creating more equitable opportunities; and educating current and future educators, stakeholders and parents about racial disparities, privilege, structural oppression, cultural humility, and systems thinking that we can indeed change the world.
