Facility Use and COVID-19 Policy
The Washington Tennis & Education Foundation (WTEF) seeks to ensure the continuance of a healthy and safe environment for all youth, parents, teachers and coaches in our network family. WTEF will require masks be worn indoors at any WTEF facility unless you are actively playing tennis on the courts. Upon exiting the courts, a mask must be worn again. This requirement is waived if the individual is in a single office alone, is vaccinated and is exhibiting no symptoms.
If you have received a positive COVID-19 test or have been exposed to someone who has, you are not permitted to come to any WTEF facilities. Please adhere to the below if any of the following occurs:
• All staff and subcontractors must be vaccinated unless they present:
• Document detailing exemption rationale (letter)
• Valid medical exemption letter signed by a senior medical professional
• Valid deeply held religious belief letter signed by a senior religious leadership
• If exemption is granted, individual must be subject to tests covering at least 60% of their work week (3 days of negative tests per week for individuals working 5 days per week). Daily tests are preferred.
• If exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, the individual(s) must remain at home until they can provide a negativetest (taken within 24 hours of presentation to WTEF) and is symptom free for 24 hours without theuse of fever-reducing or other symptom- altering medicines (e.g., cough suppressants).
• If an individual has a close contact (household member, close working relationship, etc) that is either exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or tests positive, the individual must remain home until they can provide a negative test (taken within 24 hours or presentation to WTEF) to WTEF.
• If an individual(s) tests positive for COVID-19 he or she must self-quarantine for 7 calendar days oruntil they receive a negative test result.
• If an individual(s) has knowingly been in close contact with someone with COVID- 19, they are notpermitted to enter WTEF facilities until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result orquarantine for 7 calendar days.
• Any individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, testing positive for COVID-19 or has been in contactwith someone with COVID-19 is not permitted in WTEF facilities until they are symptom free andprovide a negative COVID test.
Failure to adhere by any of these policies may result in leave-without-pay or termination.
If you do attend WTEF facilities unknowingly after being in close contact with someone with COVID-19 or hastested positive for COVID-19, please report at the time of discovery to your respective coach or the WTEFrepresentative Ronnie Goodall at rgoodall@wtef.org or (202) 302-2841 (cell) or Janelle Nichols at jnichols@wtef.org or (202) 981-9888. We are required by DCDepartment of Health to report the positive result to the Department of Health.
Social distancing policy guidelines ensures participant safety and health by limiting the amount of individuals in groups/classes/sessions, in rooms, on tennis courts and while on the grounds. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building and masks are prior to entrance to the grounds or building as directed by the Mayor’s Office. Mandatory cleaning of used areas will occur after each session concludes. All activity will be in accordance with DC Phase 1, Phase 2, and 3 of the Mayor’s Re-Opening Plans. Failure to comply with theseguidelines puts the health of our children, families, independent contractors and WTEF employees at risk.Furthermore, failure to follow these guidelines puts the future of all programming at risk.
By participating in programming or clinics at our facilities you are agreeing to accept full responsibility for the use of all equipment, appliances, facility privileges, or services whatsoever, owned and operated at this facility at my own risk and shall not hold this organization, its shareholders, Director, representatives, or agents responsible for any and all loss, claim, injury, damage, or liability sustained or incurred by me.
