    Digital Open Morning 2020 Registration
  • We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Digital Open Morning on Saturday 3 October 2020 at 9.30am.

    Our live event will feature  

    • Welcome from our Principal, Melvyn Roffe, along with our School Captains Maisie and Calum, and Admissions Registrar Jenny McGill
    • A range of 12 different 20-minute events, taking place at regular slots throughout the morning, each with capacity for 20 families 

    By registering to attend you will have access to our live welcome, and then each of the events you choose to attend.

    Please do follow the instructions carefully, and keep a copy of the confirmation email you will receive from us, upon completing your registration. This will include the links you will need (and, where relevant, passcodes). You will also need the email address you register with us to access the event.  

    Should you wish to continue your registration at another time please remember to save your form. 

    Updated 28 September: A number of our sessions are now fully booked after additional places were made available. Please do still register, even if some of the events you wished to attend are not available. As well as having access to our main welcome, we will also make on-demand coverage of all events available after the day, with details issued via email after Digital Open Morning.

    Making the most of your welcome to Watson's
  • Our welcome for everyone starts at 9.30am. Your registration will include a link to the main welcome.

    From 9.55am, our live digital events spring into life. You will find each event listed below, with available time slots.

    Please note the following important information:

    • When you complete your registration you will receive an email containing the unique links you require for each session (keep it handy!) 
    • Each event lasts 20 minutes, and you will have an opportunity to ask questions
    • Please note that you may only attend one event during any time slot - note that the booking form will not automatically recognise if you book two events at the same time
    • For example, you should only book one slot at 9.55am, one slot at 10.20am and so on
    • There is five minutes between events to enable you to go to your next session
    • Please carefully select your events so that you plan your day out and are able to make the most of our digital day together at Watson's!

    Starting in S1 is a big step, regardless of the school. This session will focus on the new curriculum we’ve developed for pupils at the start of their Senior School experience.

    Find out about the breadth of curricular choice, innovating approaches to learning and teaching, as we profile the start of our pupil’s examination journey.

    This session will look at how we ready our pupils to make the final step out into the world. Equipped with the knowledge, empathy, and resilience to build on learning, develop amazing careers, and understanding responsibility.

    With over 150 different clubs and activities, there’s much to embrace beyond the curriculum. We’ll profile some of the best bits!

    Being active is good for your physical and mental health, and at Watson’s our programme of activities comprises of 26 different sports. You’ll be able to find out how we get everyone moving at Watson’s and learn more about our culture.

    To complete your registration please check our terms and conditions, and validate your registration. You may then submit the form. 

    When you complete the form please click to 'submit' only once. It will take a few moments to process. 

    You will be given immediate confirmation of your registration ID, and be supplied with a unique link into which you may adjust your registration, subject to availability. 

    You will also receive a confirmation email, and this will include the links you will need to access the event on the day. Please keep these details close to hand as they are personal to your family!

    We plan to offer individual tours of our school around the time of our Digital Open Morning, in line with available Scottish Goverment guidance. We will contact you to offer your family a tour of the school, when we are able to do so.
