Guidelines will be reviewed at orientation with all volunteers before any work starts.

Dress appropriately; loose clothing (long sleeves and long pants) are best.
Wear closed-toe shoes.
Wear orange safety vests provided by Tukwila Parks and Recreation when working near traffic
Wear rubber, latex, leather, or vinyl gloves.
Every participant under 18 must be supervised by a guardian or have a youth waiver form.
Participants must work facing oncoming traffic if the park or trail borders a road.
No litter is to be picked up in the street. Participants must stay clear of traffic at all times.
Do not pick up trash in tunnels or on bridges or overpasses.
Do not pick up trash in grass or weeds that are over 2 feet tall.

Be sure to take breaks whenever needed.
Bring your own water to stay hydrated.
