  • Programmer              Concept Artist

    Position Objectives:

    • Use C++ and Blueprint Visual to make our game work..
    • Listen to needs and concerns of different teams in order to extend the game features and polish already implemented ones
    • Search for Bugs, push new builds to team members and ensure game runs smoothly.

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • Deep familiarity with C++ and Blueprint Visual.
    • Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine 4.
    • English speaking and ability to work in a team based environment.
    • Laser like ability to focus on one thing until completion.
     

     

     Position Objectives:

    • Create concepts of weapons, characters, environments and others based off collected references from Art and Project Leads.
    • Ensure continuity of style throughout development to maintain vision of game.
    • Work with Level Designers, Environmental Artists and other department members to help shape the image of their work.
       

     

            Qualifications:

    • Deep familiarity with popular paintaing programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Corel.
    • Ability to utilize any style through a digital medium.
    • Confidence and willingness to take creative liberties, but ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and redo work if necessary.
    • Comfortable designing landscapes, buildings, interior settings, characters and effects.
       

     

    Level Designer

    Position Objectives:

    • Work with Art and Project Leads to create new levels for our game.
    • Create rough, low-poly geometry shapes that outline the basic map layout and building structures based on Level Design.
    • Remove, edit and add new design elements, structures and assets.
    • Ensure there is a 'flow' to each level.
       

    Qualifications:

    • Comfortable designing and creating new landscapes, structures and assets.
    • Knowledge of 2D+3D illustration, as well as ability to create rough 3D models in a popular program such as Blender and import them into UE4.
    • Confidence and willingness to take creative liberties, but ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and redo work if necessary.
    • Ability to, or willingness to learn how to generate and import height maps into UE4.
    • Posses spatial awareness and understanding of how players move around in a map.

     

    Environmental Artist             3D Artist

     

     

    Position Objectives:

    • Create high and low poly models for realistic natural environments, high-tech man-made environments, props, and details.
    • Make levels look pretty through texturing and smoothing of assets.
    • Work to incorporate effective post-processing and realtime lighting techniques to accentuate atmosphere and vibes.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be fluent with UE4.
    • Outstanding skill in popular 3D modeling programs such as, Blender, 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Maya and Zbrush, as well as popular illustration programs such as Substance Designer, Substance Painter Adobe Illustrator.
    • Confidence and willingness to take creative liberties, but ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and redo work if necessary.
    • Ability to draw natural phenomenon such as rocks, cliffs, dirt, flora and skies.

            Position Objectives:

    • Modeling, and texturing of environments and props in addition to other supporting assets.
    • Work in conjunction with Artists to develop high quality 3D models.
    • Ensure final assets are consistent with overall game art style.

             Qualifications:

    • A strong 3D generalist with a solid understanding of 3D modeling.
    • Expert level ability in popular 3D modeling programs such as Blender, 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Maya, UE4.
    • Ability to create 3D models out of 2D concept art, and able to improve quality of low-poly 3D models.
    • Confidence and willingness to take creative liberties, but ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and redo work if necessary.

    3D Animator              Network Specialist

     

    Position Objectives:

    • Creating high quality first & third-person animations for weapons, vehicles, characters, etc.
    • Understanding of animation principles including timing, weight, momentum, and anticipation
    • Create convincing, fluid, and suitable character animations

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in Blender, MotionBuilder, Autodesk Maya or Unreal Engine4.
    • Adept at creating and rigging skeletons.
    • Understanding of Human and Covenant anatomy.

             Position Objectives:

    •  Work with the Project Leads to organize and develop effective Networking Solutions to bring connectivity to the game.
    • Be responsibile for determining best possible solutions for server hosting and guide Project Leads through this process.

             Qualifications:

    • Deeply familiar with issues and solutions regarding Client side and Server side gameplay, including Authoritative Servers.
    • Understanding of server load needs based on player count and how to connect players to servers.
    • Able to determine and/or design effective Front and Backend processes for game.

  • Requirement for Joining

    The ideal Project Autumn candidate:
    • Has the ability to commit 10 hours minimum per week to the project.
    • If designing 3D models: designs 1 model per week, depending on complexity.
    • Follow directions of Team and Project Leads.
    • Gracefully accepts constructive criticism.
    • Is willing to alter or redo creative works to fit within the games creative narrative.
    • Project Autumn uses the software Keybase to share files and push builds. You will be required to sign up(it's free) and download the program. You will be required to upload all works new, updated and completed to keybase so the team can access it.
    • Project Autumn  uses Trello to track progress in the games creation. You will be required to sign up (it's free) and download the program. You will be required to update your progress on Trello as you work.
    • Be willing to remain an active participant within the project for the forseeable future.
