NAABB 2021 MIDWIFERY SCHOLARSHIP
NAABB's Annual Midwifery Student Scholarship application is open! The goal of the scholarship is to support Black midwifery students who plan to serve black women and persons. A primary purpose of NAABB is to equip midwives with the practical tools and education they need to improve outcomes for Black women and persons. Therefore, NAABB is committed to removing financial barriers to midwifery education in support of future black midwives. The Scholarship Program will provide up to three scholarships every year for $1,000 and four sub-awards for $500 for Black student midwives to offset the cost of textbooks, clinical supplies, or board examination fees. To be eligible for this scholarship you must be of African descent (African, Afro-American, Afro-Latinx, Afro-Caribbean, Black, etc.) and a current or incoming midwifery student (CPM, CNM, CM, or direct entry student midwife) and currently in good standing.
