This application is for the Lee County Farm Bureau Foundation (LCFB) Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC) Agriculture Scholarship. One or more LCFB Foundation SVCC Agriculture Scholarships, ranging from $500 - $1,500, may be awarded to a student(s) enrolled in the agriculture program at SVCC.
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must:
- Be enrolled in the agriculture program at Sauk Valley Community College for the current and/or fall semester
- Be a Lee County Farm Bureau member in good standing or dependent of a Lee County Farm Bureau member in good standing, as defined in the bylaws of the Lee County Farm Bureau
- Be enrolled at a post-secondary school in a field of study for a career connected to agriculture.
- Exhibit potential for successful completion of course of study
- Not have been a recipient of the LCFB Foundation SVCC Agriculture Scholarship the prior year
The selection for the scholarship(s) is according to criteria such as:
- Academic Achievement
- Demonstrated interest in agriculture and agribusiness
- Evidence that the student has developed a thorough plan and goal to complete their educational process successfully
Terms: All scholarship funds are distributed directly to the student upon submission of final grades to the Lee County Farm Bureau Foundation for the completed semester following the scholarship notification. Undergraduate Scholarship grades will be due by June 15, and High School Senior grades will be due by January 15.
Applicants consent to media release of photo and name upon announcement of scholarship recipients.
All applications must be completed and submitted by February 15th at 11:59 p.m.
