Residential Life and Housing educators are currently faced with difficult decisions regarding staffing, occupancy, and health and safety. The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic crisis have upended precedents and norms that we may have often taken for granted. However, decisions must still be made. In this panel, we invite HRL leaders to reflect on the values and frameworks that have previously helped them to make difficult decisions from a place of integrity and core values, and consider how they are approaching difficult decisions related to housing and residence life in this unprecedented new environment.
