- Unsealed Boots
  Unsealed Boots: At the time of the inspection, the boots were found unsealed. Recommend removing all supply and return grilles and sealing the gaps to the surrounding surfaces using approved materials. I.E. Hard cast and/or caulking. Keep in mind that in order to pass any system by smoke, the boots must be sealed to the surrounding surfaces.
- Disconnected Duct(s)
  Disconnected Duct(s): At the time of inspection, it was determined that one or more ducts were found to be disconnected. We recommend returning and reattaching the duct(s) as needed.
- Unsealed Start Collars
  Unsealed Start Collars: At the time of the inspection, the start collars were found to be leaking. We recommend sealing all start collars with duct seal.
- Unsealed Return Platform
  Unsealed Return Platform: At the time of the inspection, the return platform was found to be unsealed, creating leakage into the wall cavities. We recommend sealing the inside of the platform with duct board and sealing all corners, joints, and seams with duct seal. We also recommend sealing any electrical/plumbing penetrations with approved materials to reduce leakage.

- Undersized Return Duct
  We recommend ensuring that the return duct sizing is sufficient for the amount of airflow required for this system.
- Additional Return Grille (Platform)
  It appears that there is an opportunity to add an additional return for this system. We recommend cutting in and adding an additional return to increase the amount of return airflow.
- Return Grille Sizing

- High Superheat
  At the time of the inspection, the superheat was measured above the allowable target of 25 degrees. The superheat needs to be between 4-25 degrees in order to pass. We recommend the contractor return, diagnose, and adjust as needed. The system was ran for 20+ minutes with no success in measuring passing temperatures.
- Low Superheat
  At the time of the inspection, the superheat was measured below the allowable target of 4 degrees. The superheat needs to be between 4-25 degrees in order to pass. We recommend the contractor return, diagnose, and adjust as needed. The system was ran for 20+ minutes with no success in measuring passing temperatures.
- Low Sub cool
  At the time of the inspection, the sub cool measurement was too low. The sub cool needs to be +/- 6 degrees of the manufacturer's target and at least 2 degrees. We recommend the contractor return, diagnose, and adjust as needed. The system was ran for 20+ minutes with no success in measuring passing temperatures.
