Are you an excluded person per the QLD Weapons Act?The QLD Weapons Act 1990 defines an excluded person as a person: (a) who has been convicted in Queensland or elsewhere of— (i) murder or manslaughter; or (ii) armed robbery; or (iii) unlawful wounding; or (iv) grievous bodily harm; or (v) an offence involving drugs, weapons or violence prescribed under a regulation that is punishable by at least 7 years imprisonment; or (b) who, in the 5 year period immediately before submitting this application has been convicted of, or discharged from custody on sentence after the person has been convicted of, any of the following offences— (i) an offence relating to the misuse of drugs; (ii) an offence involving the use or threatened use of violence; (iii) an offence involving the use, carriage, discharge or possession of a weapon; or (c) who, in the 5 year period immediately before submitting this application has been subject to a domestic violence order, other than a temporary protection order; or (d) who is subject to a temporary protection order, police protection notice or release conditions; or (e) who is prevented by another order of a Queensland court or another court outside Queensland from holding a licence or possessing a weapon unless the order permits the person to possess or use a weapon under supervision; or (f) who, in the 5 year period immediately before the day the person signs the approved form under this section, has been subject to an involuntary assessment order under the Mental Health Act 2016 or a similar order under the repealed Mental Health Act 2000, or a similar order in another State; or (g) who has been refused a licence, or whose licence has been revoked, in the 5 year period immediately before the day the person signs the approved form under this section because the person is not, or is no longer, a fit and proper person to hold a licence; or (h) whose licence is suspended.

Terms and ConditionsI agree to be bound by the Constitution, By-laws, Standing Orders and Policies of the City of Brisbane Pistol Club (the Club) and to comply with the same at all times. I understand the requirement for responsible and ethical behavior and I undertake to do all in my power to preserve the good image of the sport and the Club and its affiliates. I agree to make myself familiar with the provisions of THE WEAPONS ACT 1990 and WEAPONS REGULATIONS 1996. I agree to undergo such training and assessment as specified by the Club before being accepted as a member and prior to the Club providing an “Approved Club Declaration” for a firearms licence application, or the Club providing authorisation to acquire particular categories of firearms. I agree that should I be convicted of a criminal offence I will immediately report it to the Committee of Management (the Committee). I understand that as a member, if I break any of the code of ethics and club policies, the Club reserves the right to cancel my membership. I understand that the Club will conduct a new member interview during the 6 months probationary period to evaluate a new member's participation and conduct in club activities. I understand that if I do not meet the safety standards for participation in club activities, I may be required to attend additional training. The Club reserves the right to cancel memberships as part of this process if a new member is deemed to be acting in contravention to the Club's Constitution, Bylaws and Standing Orders. Pro-rata refund will be issued. I understand that the Club may be required to disclose personal information as required by The Weapons Act, and for the administration of your membership. The Club reserves the right to decline an application for membership without explanation.
