RESPONSIBILITY - The boat operator/owner has the responsibility to safeguard his/her boat, crew and passengers. That responsibility includes the completion of the FLOAT PLAN for all overnight and extended cruises. Filing a FLOAT PLAN will make it easier to locate you in case you need to be notified of an emergency message.
FILING THE FLOAT PLAN -
1) It is recommended that a copy of this FLOAT PLAN be given to the Albemarle Plantation Marina Office prior to departure. This will help the Dockmaster plan for your return.
2) For extended cruises it is also recommended that a copy of the FLOAT PLAN be given to another reliable party (neighbor or friend) who can notify the US. Coast Guard should you not return as scheduled.
NOTE: It is not necessary to sign out on the Daily Sign-out Board if you submit this FLOAT PLAN. The Daily Sign-out Board is used to notify the Albemarle Plantation Marina of a day trip. Notify the Marina of overnight and extended cruises with this FLOAT PLAN.
Fill out the PDF form, print, and email it to dockmaster@albemarleplantation.com
