Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre is excited to announce the launch of its new "Youth Camp!" this summer.
We are preparing for the safe opening of a youth day camp program (Ages 12-24). Through safety measures, recommendations, and policies provided by the municipality and public health we have prepared to meet the standards and guidelines in order to open for camp as of Monday, July 6th.
Some of these preventative measures will include:
Procedure for pre-screening before entering the building
Encourage frequent handwashing throughout the day by all campers and staff.
Hand sanitizers stations
Multiple cleaning procedures of shared surfaces
PPEs are provided to our staff and are mandatory to be worn while in contact with campers and other individuals. All staff will participate in additional training as well to ensure a safe and healthy environment this summer.
Camp spaces will be limited to 8 per week (plus 2 staff). In order to offer a fair and inclusive camp experience this summer each camper will be able to attend a maximum of 2 weeks and we are offering priority choices to help ensure campers are able to attend the weeks they are most interested in. Registration will occur on a first come first serve basis until full and a waitlist may apply.
Staff will contact parents/ guardians shortly after registrations are submitted to confirm sucessful registration due to limited spaces.
This summer we are waiving all camp fees, we will gladly accept any donations.
