Thank you for submitting an application for the Mastery-Based Education Practicing Grant! This is part 1/7. Confirmation of starting this application and the Summary will be sent to the Superintendent, Principal, Financial Officer and Team Leader/Main Contact/Liaison. Confirmation of completing parts 2-6 will be sent only to the Team Leader/Main Contact/Liaison.

After review by an evaluation committee, the award letter and supporting details will be shared.

If you do not finish this section of the application in one sitting, your progress is saved and an email with a link to finish will be sent to Team Leader/Main Contact/ Liaison. Background Information:
- Working through the complex nature of mastery education is not easy or precise. There isn't one way to do mastery. Aligned to the Framework, the application process will help your team identify areas of strength and areas for further development. However, teams are not expected to have a major goal in every area of the Framework. The Summary Section of the application asks for specific measurable goal(s), action items/steps, growth measurement, and a budget.
- Creating a budget, aligned to support your goals is part of the process.
- A comittee will review each application according to the following weighted categories:
  - 25% Communication Plan
  - 50% Summmary: reflective of goals derived from completeing the application.
  - 25% Budget: alignment to Framework goals, sustainable budgetary practices.

Complete a mid-year "progress report" of efforts and progress towards goals and financial expenditures. Due January 15, 2021.
Complete a year end reflection/report of efforts and accomplishments and financial expenditures. Due June 18, 2021.
Active Participation in the Mastery Education Communication plan (Still under development, but including optional weekly and monthly virtual professional development and networking opportunities, monthly newsletter, regional conferences and annual meetings)

Regular maintenance of financial responsibilities in the Idaho System for Educational Excellence (ISEE) through the Grant Reimbursement Application process (GRA), including: 1. Regular, quarterly draw downs from the GRA 2. Receipts for purchased items and services 3. Honorarium agreements for stipends. 4. Financial reports of expenditures due on January 15 and June 18, 2021.
