Celebrated landscape painter (and past PAGM juror) Kami Mendlik will teach a workshop highlighting principles of color theory from her recently published book, Color Relativity.
Kami is founder of the St. Croix River School of Painting, where she teaches representational painting with an emphasis on color. Kami's paintings have been both juried and invited to exhibit in national and international exhibitions, including museums across the country, and she's taught classes around the world. Her studio, located on a sixteen-acre farm, is inspirational to countless students.
Kami has become one of today's most sought-after painting instructors; her unique strategy creates the illusion of light and form through learning to see color relativity with a simple limited palette. Her emphasis on teaching the properties of color and how they relate to one another in an approachable, understandable way has been a game changer for both new and experienced painters.
