Please read the following carefully:
1. Horse Riding is a risk sport, participation therefore holds danger.
2. Horses are unpredictable, they may buck, shy, rear, kick, bite etc and do not always respond as expected.
3. All clients are advised to ensure they have proper personal accident insurance cover to participate in equestrian activities.
4. We allocate horses to riders considering rider experience and suitability.
5. All clients must always wear a properly fastened riding hat to current BSI standard when mounted.
6. All clients are asked to wear suitable footwear (boots with a small heel, not trainers), long trousers, at least a short-sleeved shirt and gloves. You are advised to remove jewellery especially hooped earrings, not to carry bum bags or any bags back packs, cameras etc, to switch off mobile phones and to inform the ride leader if you are carrying medication.
7. Clients cannot smoke on horseback, nor can they ride whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
8. We do not guarantee the pace of any ride and Ride Escorts WILL slow the pace of a ride if either ground or weather conditions, or the ability or behaviour of a rider or riders threaten the safety of the ride.
9. All staff are trained and are competent to teach or escort rides to their detailed level.
10. Clients MUST inform the stables if any of the above information alters.
11. These details are valid for 12 months from the date of your first ride, after which you will be asked to complete a new rider registration form.
12. Please do not attend if you or a member of your party has tested positive for Covid 19.
13. We retain the right to terminate a client contract at any time.
Declaration
I acknowledge that RIDING IS A RISK SPORT AND HOLDS POTENTIAL DANGER and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions. I understand that I must obey the instructions of the Instructor or Ride Leader at all times and comply with all the establishments Health & Safety requirements.
I confirm that I have read and understood the information above and that to the best of my knowledge all the above details are correct. I have read and understood the lesson booking and cancellation policy and agree to abide by it at all times. A parent or guardian of riders under the age of 18 must sign this form.
RIDERS AGED 18 YRS AND OVER: I confirm that the above pre-assessed abilities are correct and that I ride entirely at my own risk.
RIDERS UNDER 18 YRS OF AGE: I accept full responsibility for my child and confirm that the above pre-assessed abilities are correct.
Data Protection Act 2018: Statement: I understand that the information I have given will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 but may also be made available to Insurers and other parties in the event of any injury or accident.
