    FineLine Reopening Guidelines For In-Person Instruction

    *ALL IN-PERSON CLASSES SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

    We will be following the guidelines of the State of Connecticut, New Milford Health Department, and the CDC. We are prepared with an alternate virtual schedule if another shutdown occurs. Any differences in hours will be credited toward your next trimester tuition. 

  • Classes will be offered in a rotating in-person and virtual class format for Trimester 2 & 3.

    If you register after January 15th or April 15th, you will only be given the option of virtual classes if your class has exceeded our class size limit and a rotation set in place. 

    If you wish to enroll in ONLY virtual classes, please check the "YES" box below. If you check "NO" your child will participate in-person and virtually. The number of in-person classes your child receives will depend on the enrollment in each individual class. 

    Your registration is for the full year, however you will be billed on a trimester schedule.  Please see our policy for withdrawal on our website.

    Trimester 1: September 14-November 24th
    Trimester 2: January 4-March 30th
    Trimester 3: April 5- June 19th

  • Ballet

    FineLine uses the American Ballet Theatre Training Curriculum as its guiding syllabus. Classes for ages 3-13 are leveled according to age and proficiency.

    We encourage ballet students to take as many classes as they would like in their assigned level! We have found it especially rewarding for students to take multiple times a week as they advance in level. Dancing on pointe is a special aspect of ballet which takes diligent training to master. The more you practice the easier it becomes! 


    We encourage students to share what they have learned on stage in our Nutcracker and Spring performances. We find rehearsing and demonstrating dances for the community an exhilarating experience for students, bringing them a sense of mastery, comradery, and confidence. 


    Listed below are the requirements to perform in our Winter & Spring Performances. Due to Covid19 restrictions and the high costs of production in a theatre without the guarantee of an audience, we will be creating a film project (in studio in December) that will be streamed online for families to view. 

    *Please note: If you have scheduling conflicts you may fill your requirements with any level below the one you are assigned.

     

    Level 5 pro/div 
    (ages 14 & up)

    Minimum of:
    4 ballet technique classes per week
    3 hours of pointe per week (fulfilled in technique or pointe classes)

    Plus:
    Level pro div/4b repertoire class 

    Level 4b
    (ages 13 & up)

    Class is offered on Saturdays; students are welcome to attend the performances as our favorite audience members!

  • Jazz

    *All leveling is subject to evaluation by instructor*
  • 1) Dancers in Jazz Levels 1 & 2 do not have a ballet requirement.

    2) Dancers in Jazz Level 3 must be in the required leveled ballet classes or must be taking one other discipline (tap, modern, acro) and have the permission of the teacher to attend.

    3) You must be a part of the Professional Division to take Advanced Contemporary.

    Modern 2. Ages 10-11 with no ballet requirement or ballet levels 3a and 3b.

    Modern 3. Ages 12 and up. Must be in required leveled ballet classes or have the permission of the teacher to attend. Ballet levels 4a and 4b.

    Tap classes are leveled by instructor Scott Wise based on age, and after Level 2, by age and proficiency.
  • PrePrimary Tap. Ages 3-4 (part of the PrePrimary Ballet Class, see above). 

    Primary Tap. Ages 5-6

    Tap 1. Ages 7-8

    Tap 2. Ages 9-10

    Tap 3. Ages 11-12

    Tap 4. Ages 13 and up

  • Broadway Musical Theatre Dance

    Ages 12 and up.

  • *Please Note - There is an additional fee for the live accompanist.  This fee for the year will be determined after the class is formed and distributed equally amongst all the students.  This fee is non-refundable.*

  • There is a $55 Registration Fee for the first child registered in a family and $15 for the second if registered before September 1st.

    The Registration Fee in the 1st Trimester (after September 1st) will be $75 and $35.

    The Registration Fee for the 2nd and 3rd Trimesters is $55. 

    A student is not considered registered until payment is received.  A spot in a class is not guaranteed until payment is received.

    Acting/Musical Theatre (Spotlight, Little Stars, Acting 2, Centerstage 1) Winter Virtual Showing- $75 due November 1st

    December Acting/Musical Theatre (Centerstage 2, Acting 3) Classes & Nutcracker Video Recording- $175 due November 1st

    Acting/Musical Theatre Spring Performance- In house/Virtual: $75, Theatre: $125 due April 1st

    Legit Play - $225 due January 1st

    Vocal Accompanist Fee for Vocal Performance - will be evenly distributed among the students, due November 15th & March 15th

    Payments received after due date will incur a $20 late fee.

     

    Classes will run on a trimester schedule this year.

    Trimester 1: September 14-November 24
    Trimester 2: January 4-March 30th 
    Trimester 3: April 5-June 21st 

    We extend a three week grace period in which a parent may withdraw their child from a class and receive a tuition refund for the remainder of the month (this refund does not include the fees for registration or classes taken). Written notification of intent to withdraw is required. 

    If a family decides to withdraw after the three week grace period, written notification of withdrawal is required as well as payment through the end of that month. We will not refund tuition already paid unless you have paid your tuition in full.  In such cases, months remaining after withdrawal will be refunded.

    Classes will not be refunded for absenses.

    Pay first semester in full by August 15th and receive a 3% discount if paying by cash, check or bank routing.  This offer is not valid for second or third semesters.
     
    Payment Plan Option:
    Available to families that register before September 20th

    With our new trimesters you will have the option each trimester to be in our payment plan.
     
    The first trimester is 10 weeks long and payments are divided into 3 payments: September, October and November. *If you register by August 15th you will have the option to add a payment for August.

    The second trimester is 12 weeks long and payments are divided into 3 payments: January, February and March. *If you would like an additional month to pay you can opt to start your payments in December.

    The third trimester is 10 weeks long and payments are divided into 3 payments: April, May and June.

    You may pay by cash, check, bank routing or by credit card through the online invoice.

    Registrations after September 20th will only have the option of pay in full or two payments (October and November) for the first trimester.

    Registrations after January 20th will only have the option of pay in full or two payments (February and March ) for the second trimester.

    Registrations after April 20th will only have the option of pay in full or two payments (May and June) for the third trimester.

    Nutcracker and December classes for Ballet & Acting Program only will be invoiced separately and will only have the option to pay in full.

    If you enroll in our Payment Plan Option you must sign an agreement and authorize a credit card for our file. If you are late in a payment your card will be charged. If you are late on two payments you will automatically be enrolled in our Automatic Debit Program.

    Payment Plan Option with Automatic Debit: Same rules as the Payment Plan Option, however we do all the work for you! All extra fees will also be automatically charged on the due date. Just fill out an authorization form and we will charge your card monthly. Please note that a new form must be filled out every enrollment year. 

    There is a $20 returned check or declined payment fee and a $20 late fee for each payment that is not received by the 1st of the month.  If your credit card is declined because expiration date or new card you will be charged a $20 fee.

I agree that I will not hold FineLine Theatre Arts, LLC or its staff liable for any illness or injury or loss contracted while participating in any classes or events associated with the school. By submitting my registration I agree that FineLine Theatre Arts may use my child's photo for publicity/social media purposes. I also understand that I am financially responsible for the classes my child registers for regardless of whether an invoice is received, and that this payment is due on the 1st of every month. I also understand that it is my responsibility to read my emails from FineLine.
