SIT welcomes applications from all individuals for online language courses. This includes high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, and adult learners. Applicants seeking to transfer credit to a college or university program of study in you they are currently enrolled, please consult with off-campus study officials at your home college or university to review approval requirements to enroll off campus and transfer credit. You may be required to submit the Approval of Participation for your application to be viewed by SIT.

What Happens Next
Once we have received all your application materials, including approval of participation, our Admissions Committee will review your application. You may be contacted to discuss your application or be requested to provide additional information. Offers of admissions are generally made within one to two weeks. You will then have two weeks to reserve your space in the course by submitting your deposit and any other required confirmation materials. A list of these items will be provided with your offer of admission.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
SIT scholarships are not available for SIT short-term programs, including Study Away, USA, online courses, virtual internships, or January term programs.
Participants in short-term programs qualify for future scholarships as SIT Study Abroad Alumni – The SIT Study Abroad Alumni Scholarship is an automatic scholarship to recognize and support students who participate in two or more SIT Study Abroad programs, including alumni of short-term summer programs. The scholarship will be applied to a student’s second term of study with SIT. The scholarship is $1,000 for a fall or spring semester program or $500 for a full-term, international summer program.
