STUDENT SAFETY GUIDELINES
1. Perform only those activities in which they have received instructions and permission.
2. Use only materials and equipment authorized by the instructor.
3. Follow written and verbal instructions carefully.
4. Always ask for permission before accessing supplies, ceramic materials and tools.
5. Prepare for class by having on appropriate clothing for a workshop (you will get dirty) and your completed homework when assigned.
6. IMMEDIATELY report to your instructor any accidents or unplanned events which occur.
7. Never put ceramic materials, clays, glazes or tools used for ceramics in your mouth.
8. Check labels and equipment instructions carefully. Ask for help if you have any questions.
9. Know the location of emergency equipment in the room.
10. Never use classroom equipment without permission. Kilns are not to be touched at all unless instructed to.
11. Keep sinks and work areas clean. Clean up your materials after class.
12. Absolutely no horseplay or rough housing will be tolerated.
CLASS RULES
1. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. The first warning will be between the instructor and the student. If there is a second incident, the instructor will talk directly to the parents. In the case of further incidents, the student will be expelled from the class and his/her tuition will not be returned.
2. Respect others in the classroom, including their property.
3. Never use classroom equipment without permission. Kilns are not to be touched at all unless instructed to.
4. No eating or drinking in the classroom.
5. Safety rules will be enforced at all times.
6. Treat the classroom and equipment with care and respect (i.e. no defacing studio property)
7. Students are responsible for their own actions at all times.
Certificate of Completion:
Full attendance and successfully passing the class. In case of illness or unavoidable emergency that results in partial attendance, make-up time may be scheduled on a space-available basis.
Payments:
All payments are Non-refundable.
The information and techniques taught are based on the class you choose. You will ONLY be taught for the class you are attending. Online and in person classes are scheduled and you must attend that day or reschedule within 48 hours. Students who do no attend the class or reschedule will lose your chance to reschedule for another date.
Any and all training is based on my experience as a instructor and any and all information that is provided during the class is to prepare you for any further licensing and or permits you will need to file in your own within you state. I am not responsible for any additional training or licensing you will need from your state and state regulations. This course is a certificate of Completion that will train you to begin accepting clients and/or models. Practice makes perfect.
Disclaimer: students MUST do their due diligence to research what the state board requirements are for their specific state. In most states, you must have a cosmetology or esthetics license or be in a state-approved apprenticeship program to practice lash extensions and have a tattoo or permanent makeup permit/license or be in a state-approved apprenticeship program to practice microblading. For all body sculpting services, most states require a massage therapy, esthetics, or nursing license. Although these are what most states require, STUDENTS MUST RESEARCH THEIR STATE'S REGULATIONS on their own by checking with the Board of Cosmetology and Board of Health in their area. Students must also agree that they either already have their license, or agree to obtain it before they begin servicing clients. Minks does not license students(only the state board can license). If you are in a cosmetology or esthetics program and in need of credit hours, check with your current school first before enrolling to be sure they will accept the Minks credit hours. Minks is not responsible for any students not being given credit hours.
