The Leaders In Training (LIT) program at Camp OCP at the Framingham Branch is designed to give teens a positive experience in their community, provide on the job camp counselor training that will help prepare them for future employment opportunities and provide structured teambuilding games and activities.
With these objectives in mind, the program will give the LIT’s the necessary background to assume leadership roles in the future. This is a program for teens who are interested about learning how to work with children, developing and improving their leadership skills while having fun.
LIT’s will be matched to a unit within camp or another summer program and be assigned to shadow a camp counselor who will serve as a mentor for part of the day. LIT’s will also spend time together as a group, creatively developing leadership skills.
This program is based at the MetroWest YMCA – Framingham Branch.
