Value: up to $1500
These grants are awarded to full-time and part-time faculty members by the Senate Research Committee through open competition. The Committee's objective in awarding these grants is to support faculty members whose research programs have been adversely impacted by COVID-19, and who will incur additional unforeseen costs as a result. These grants are not intended to replace any normal internal grant opportunities, which will be adjudicated according to existing procedures.
Please note:
· COVID-19 Support Grants have a duration of one year.
· Faculty members may hold a COVID-19 Support Grant at the same time as an existing internal research grant.
· Applicants must demonstrate the need for additional funding as a result of COVID-19 (i.e., rather than being able to reallocate existing funding).
· Applications for COVID-19 Support Grants will be adjudicated within four weeks of receipt.
· Applicants in need of more than $1500 should note additional expenses that the SRC may consider for funding.
To apply:
- Submit a completed online application form along with all requested documentation – there will be a rolling deadline.
- Applicants must use the official Senate Research Committee application form found at the top of this page. Other formats will not be accepted and incomplete applications will be disadvantaged.
