    Because you requested weekly free grocery deliveries...

    Several local food justice organizations are working together to get food to neighbors in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mutual Aid Beacon currently provides delivery of groceries on Wednesdays to a limited number of households based on availability. Households are added to a list each week on a first-call/first-served basis.

    What do you need to do to request delivery?

    Call or text Mutual Aid Beacon Dispatch at 845.288.2559 to find out if grocery delivery will be available that Wednesday and to ask to be added to the list. You must call/text between Monday at noon and Tuesday at 3pm. The delivery list must close by 3pm on Tuesdays.

    Thank you for letting us know you are able to pay for the groceries or supplies a Mutual Aid Beacon volunteer may get for you. We ask that those who can pay make a contribution to the Mutual Aid Beacon common resource fund through our Venmo account - venmo.com/MutualAidBeacon.

    We use this fund to support requests from neighbors who - for whatever reason - are unable to pay for essentials like food, cleaning supplies, etc.

    If you do not have Venmo, we can discuss other ways to contribute.

    As of August 2020, Mutual Aid Beacon will no longer directly offer prepared meal deliveries. Mutual Aid Beacon is partnering with Beacon Community Kitchen as they expand to provide additional prepared meal pickup and delivery in the area. 

    A volunteer will contact you with information about how to access this service.
