TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
Nursery fees and notice period- To secure a place at nursery we require one months fees paid in full and/or a funding form filled and signed with a vaild funding code. If a funding code turns out to invaild, the fees will then be charged directly to the parent. This payment acts as a deposit and is non refundable. If your child starts on the agreed date then the money taken will cover the first months fees and if they do not start the payment is non refundable. If a child is taking up a place using early years entitlement funding soley and then does not start the nursery on the agreed date, a month funding will be claimed as a notice period. The days and sessions added the registration form are not changeable and will be charged for. Once the child starts, changes can be made using the below notice period process.
We require 6 weeks/half a terms written notice (minimum) from the first week of a half term in advance of leaving the nursery or if you are reducing your child’s sessions. We also reserve the right to give 6 weeks/half terms notice. Children who leave midway i.e. half way through a term will forfeit the remainder of their fees. If a child is claiming their 30 government funded hours at our setting we will require 12 weeks written notice from the start of a term for the child to leave or change sessions. If a child cannot attend nursery for any reason, fees still have to be paid. Sessions cannot be carried over or swapped if a child does not attend their registered days.
There are 3 training days a year when the nursery may be closed so staff training can take place. You will still be charged for these days. Please note that a part from training days, you are not charged when the nursery is closed. The Nursery is closed for school holidays which is approximately 14 weeks of the year, this includes Bank holidays. Dates of this closure will be given to parents in plenty of time. If children take holiday from nursery there is no discount or reduction in fees. We charge full rates for sickness (unless child is hospitalised and will be at the discretion of the manager) In case of emergency where the nursery must close due to circumstances beyond our control, for example severe weather conditions or due to being closed by a government body, no refund of fees will be paid.
Fees are paid monthly (unless agreed otherwise with the manager) on the 1st of each month in advance by bank transfer. We do not accept card, cash or cheque. Parents will be charged a late fee of 10% per day if fees have not been received by the 5th of the month. If the nursery fees are in arrears after the 5th of the month, the child's place shall be immediately withdrawn and the nursery shall be entitled to serve formal demand for payments of such fees out standing.
A non refundable fee of £50.00 is needed on completion of registration unless the child is taking up a funded only place. At registration, when a start date is agreed between the nursery and yourself, if for any reason your child does not start nursery on the agreed date, fees will be charged daily until your child starts.
Consumables and additonal services fee - this is charged half termly to all children using their Early Years Entitlement funding. It is not a voluntary payment as it is not possible to attend our setting and not access these services.
Childcare Vouchers – If childcare vouchers are paid into the business account after the child has left, this will be forfeited and not refunded. Here at the nursery we try to minimise costs passed on to you, but unfortunately, to maintain our high standards, fees have to be reviewed periodically.
If a child is left after the session ends parent/guardian will be charged £5.00 for every 15 minutes. This is at the discretion of the Nursery Manager/ Deputy. This must be paid directly. If a parent has not made contact with the nursery by 6pm (or half an hour after the child's session has ended), Children services will be contacted.
Staff can not undertake the care of sick children as clearly laid out in the policies and procedures. (Especially those with infectious disease, diarrhoea, vomiting and high temperatures)
It is in our policy to protect children from harm and safeguard them at all times. If we suspect a child’s at risk of harm we will contact outside agencies to support and look at our cause for concern. By signing this agreement you give your consent for this.
If it considered by the Manager that the continued presence of the child is detrimental to the Health / Safety of the child or other children / staff, then the parent or guardian may be asked to remove the child immediately, in which case the one months notice as referred to above shall not apply. Please note, that whilst every precaution and care is taken with your child during their time at nursery, we cannot be held responsible for the arrival and departure procedure of children, especially if a different person other than the normally assigned adult brings or collects a child without written consent. The nursery cannot be held responsible for any belongings that are brought into the building and cars are parked at owner’s risk. Children’s clothes etc should be marked clearly with their name and spare clothes should not be brought into nursery in plastic bags.
