Internship Application
We are so excited to kick off our official internship program here at New Horizons Life Skills. As a growing nonprofit organization, committed to providing adults living with disabilities with the highest quality care possible, interns are an invaluable part of NHLS. Since our founding over 49 years ago, our mission has been to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by advocating for their rights and dignity, providing person-centered services and programs, and ensuring their independence through meaningful work, living conditions, and access to the community. We are currently accepting applications for these positions! Start/end dates are flexible and based on the needs and responsibilities of each intern position. While all intern positions are unpaid, we encourage each intern to treat it as they would a job. NHLS asks for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Consistent availability Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm is encouraged; Specific schedules will be negotiated with supervisors.
