Literacy Clinic Application
What you need to know

The Literacy Clinic provides students struggling to develop appropriate reading and spelling skills with effective, high-quality support using the Sounds-Write program. It is suitable for ages 5 to adult.

Your application will be reviewed by our Literacy Team. They will contact you to advise available clinic times and book your first appointment.

The Literacy Clinic is open from 8:30am to 5:00pm weekdays. Sessions are run in 45 minute blocks at the SPELD SA Centre or online.

Please bring any professional and/or school reports to the initial placement screening.

Cost information

SPELD SA Annual Membership payable prior to first appointment following confirmation of session times $75

Initial consult $190 includes a resources fee for supplying homework resources for the duration of enrolment.

Lesson fees for the remaining 11 appointments are $110 per session; payable at each session. SPELD SA offers a 5% discount for families who choose to pre-pay their block of 12 sessions at the beginning of the block.
