- Each employee shall agree to temperature screening as they enter the premises in compliance to KFC temperature screening guidelines. Access will not be allowed to anyone refusing temperature screening.
- Additional temperature screenings may be carried out at any point during the workday.
- Every employee’s fitness to work, health concerns and health and safety requirements should be established as per Employee Health Checks guidelines.
- Lockers, staff rooms and toilets to be kept clean and sanitize after each use as per KFC cleaning guidelines.
- Only one team member at a time will be allowed in the staff change rooms/toilets.
- All employees are required to undergo Covid-19 Training and preparation before work commencement. A Work Readiness Survey is to be completed for each employee.
- If you are feeling ill or suspect that you have been exposed to Covid-19 and you are scheduled to work, you need to report it to your RGM, ahead of time for replacement purposes, and should not come to work.
- You might have to quarantine yourself for 14 days before returning to work. You need to be cleared of any infections and related symptoms by a health professional before returning to work. Where it is suspected you fell ill as a result of Covid-19 at work there are benefits such as Memorial relief, COIDA and UIF.
- If you have any underlying / chronic illness, you are not to return to work till further notice. You are urged to inform your RGM of any illness (this information will be treated confidentially
- All Restaurant Managers and ASL to complete Covid-19 Training Course within 10 days of returning to work.
- Delivery riders, suppliers and service providers are required to do temperature screen as they enter the store in compliance to KFC screening standards.
- Employees who are over 60 years and those that are able to work from home should work from home to minimise face-to-face meetings and exposure to infection.
- Kitam Group’s COVID-19 compliance officer is Mrs. Maleshoane Mthembu, who will be responsible for ensuring:
o Compliance with the workplace Covid-19 response plan.
o Conduct risk assessment of exposure to COVID-19 infection and control measures in all restaurant, with involvement of the risk committee and health and safety committee
o Empower and Inform the Restaurant Teams on wellness updates, information, support, counselling and coping mechanisms available to assist the team as they migrate through this period of uncertainty, both for themselves and those around them.
o RGM's shall be appointed as compliance officers for their respective restaurants to ensure compliance to the Covid-19 response strategy, guidelines and regulations.
