Squash & Gobble has been reimagined as a VIRTUAL event!
This year's Squash & Gobble will be unlike any other! We are going virtual!
THERE WILL BE NO IN-PERSON EVENTS. While we were deeply saddened to cancel this annual tradition, we felt it was in the best interest of everyone involved under the current restrictions. We, along with officials from the City of Greenville and the Muhlenberg County Health Department, explored many different options but concluded the social distancing requirements and limitations on gathering sizes would not allow an in-person event to take place responsibly.
However, we also understand that this is a difficult time for artisans, as many rely on shows like Squash & Gobble. With shows getting cancelled across the country, we want to provide the opportunity to showcase our artisans virtually! We are waiving the fee and will be creating a virtual event for people to shop your handmade and handcrafted items!
How will this event work?
There will be a new page on our website featuring each artist and a description of their craft from your application.
Shoppers will be able to click the description and will be redirected to a page showcasing additional pictures of that individual artisans crafts.
An online Facebook event will also be created to highlight artisans and possibly even do live videos or demonstrations.
The event pages will be published on Sept. 12th and will run until Sept. 26th.
Shoppers can contact artisans via their preferred contact information (included on the individual artisan pages as well as on the Facebook posts) to place an order.
Artisans will be responsible for arranging the transaction (pickup, delivery, shipping, etc.)
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY APPLIED TO BE A VENDOR AT THE 2020 SQUASH & GOBBLE, WE HAVE YOUR APPLICATION AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO REAPPLY. However, we do need you to contact us to let us know you would like to participate.
