SECTION 10. A REALTOR® member who has held membership in the National Association as a REALTOR®, REALTOR ASSOCIATE®, or both, for a cumulative period of forty (40) years and has completed at least one (1) year of service at the
National Association level as an officer, director, committee member, federal political coordinator, President’s liaison or regional coordinator to a country with which NAR has a reciprocal agreement, shall upon certification by the Board of Directors be designated "REALTOR® EMERITUS." An individual who has been affiliated with a firm comprised of REALTOR® members for forty (40) years or more, but who was ineligible for REALTOR® or REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® membership for any portion of that time on the basis of sex, national origin, marital status or other basis now prohibited by the Bylaws of the National Association shall be eligible for REALTOR® Emeritus status. The requirement of one year of National service, as defined above shall be effective for persons qualifying for REALTOR® Emeritus status.
