Plug In and Follow Your Calling
Different gifts and perspectives can still unite on common ground for important ministry! This is not a call to burn people out, but for honest feedback so that together we can grow closer to Christ.

What ministries are you passionate about (use your own words, it doesn't have to be a typical ministry focus you've seen)? Are there ways you feel called to share your passion and gifts to show God's love to others? By learning where people are coming from, the session and pastor will seek to provide needed structures for people to work together on common ground.
No Wrong Answers Here :o)
God often does not make us passionate about tons of things all at the same time. Usually there are certain things we feel very called to, and other things we are less passionate about at a certain time. Remembering what you are passionate about from your previous response, help indicate your preferences regarding these particular ministry areas so we may better assist you and others in helping passionate people collaborate and communicate to everyone's benefit.
Eradicating Systemic Poverty: To what degree are you interested in exploring the underlying causes of poverty in our county and working to make a difference?
I don't feel particularly called to this right now or I would rather work on this ministry in my own ways without making it part of a larger congregational effort.
Would like to hear what others find out about this from time to time, but don't have time to do a lot of work on this personally.
Interested in this and would like to get more frequent emails about opportunities and findings on this subject (we'll add you to special mailing list)
Very interested in this and would like to help contribute to our congregation's exploration of this topic and ministry and collaborate with others to help communicate opportunities or findings to the congregation.
Dismantling Structural Racism: "Structural Racism" assumes that there are negative disparities in this country and county that are not caused by "racist individuals" (any one person's bigotry or conscious racial discrimination). Instead, this ministry seeks to explore disparate outcomes based on race and look for causes. People of all (or no) political parties may find interest in this ministry--out of conviction or sheer curiosity. Is this a passion or calling for you at this time?

Regardless of overt work on "structural racism", I'm more interested in relationships. I would love PPC to provide more opportunities to talk with people of different racial backgrounds than myself or different perspectives on racism than myself.
Other Ministry Opportunities: What other ministry opportunities do you miss or long for from PPC. These could be structures like book reads or Bible Studies, etc...that you particularly long for. You can also mention sermon topics or scriptures you'd like to see.
We're always looking for liturgists to read scripture and prayers. Would you be willing to be a liturgist for us one Sunday?
