Good Life Smiles is looking for one full time Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental practice in West Omaha. Good Life Smiles will offer competitive wages and a fun working atmosphere in a beautiful, modern clinic. We are seeking applicants who enjoy working with kids (and their grown-ups), who exhibit a positive attitude, and who work well as members of a team. Come help us provide an incredible experience for our patients, and work in a practice where you are valued. Experience is preferred, but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Update the patient's medical history
• Perform infection control and occupational safety hazards
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Perform chair turnover between patients and miscellaneous duties to keep our practice tidy
• Assist the pediatric dentist in performing dental procedures
• Perform coronal polishing procedures under indirect supervision of the pediatric dentist
• Perform dental radiographic procedures (take dental x-rays)
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g. toothbrushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Monitor and administer nitrous oxide analgesia (with education, exam, and permit in the function)
• Perform office management tasks that require the use of a personal computer
• Communicate with patients, parents, and suppliers (e.g. scheduling, answering the telephone, billing, and ordering supplies)

Minimum Education Required:

• X-ray Certification (mandatory)
• Coronal Polish Certification (mandatory)
• Basic Life Saving Certification (mandatory)
