- Open to professional and emerging artists from the Yukon, northern neighbours (northern BC, Northwest Territories and Nunavut) and circumpolar countries.
Residencies are available for research, development and production of ongoing or new bodies of work. Projects must be appropriate for the Jenni House (approximately 18’ x 18’) and are most suitable if they do not require access to specialized equipment. Some projects would be more suited to the warmer summer months, May – August. There are no opening windows in the Jenni House. The building has an alarmed security system.
Projects may be undertaken by:
visual artists such as painters, sculptors, carvers or illustrators creating a new work or developing ideas for new work
media artists using the space for research/writing/production/creation of a film or media art project
musicians writing, composing, arranging and/or recording new music (including improvisational)
poetry and prose writers using the house as a place for writing and editing their work
Some of the monthly residencies have been pre-allocated to specific disciplines and others are open to all practices.
