Clinic Policies:
By signing below, I acknowledge and accept the following policies of Cane Bay Veterinary Clinic
1. Cancellation Policy - Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancelling any appointment as this allows us to fill your reserved spot with another pet that is in need of our services. We understand that emergencies do arise on occasion and cancellations need to be made at the last minute. If a client misses 2 appointments without calling to cancel in a timely fashion, a $50 non-refundable deposit will be required to book future appointments. This deposit will go toward the exam fee when the pet is seen. Otherwise, drop-off appointments can be booked without a deposit.
2. Multi-Pet Booking Policy - We require a $100 non-refundable deposit for any client booking appointments for multiple pets in one day. The deposit will go toward the exam fee when the pet is seen. We require 48 hours notice to cancel a multi-pet booking in order to receive a refund of the deposit.
3. Prescription Policy - We do not work directly with third-party pharmacies such as Chewy, 1-800-PetMeds, etc. due to the time it takes our staff to process these orders and prescription errors made by these pharmacies. If you would like to utilize one of these pharmacies we will gladly provide you with a written prescription that you can mail to the pharmacy of your choice. If a written prescription is requested outside of an appointment time or for a medication that we carry in the clinic, there will be a medical records review fee charged to the client. This covers the doctors time to review the patient’s medical record to ensure that the medication being prescribed is appropriate and safe for the pet. The fee is $5. You are also welcome to use Vetsource, our home delivery service. We will process these scripts electronically as the medical records review fee is included in the cost of the medication, when ordered through Vetsource. If a prescription is lost once it has left Cane Bay Veterinary Clinic, a $20 administrative fee will be charged each time a script has to be re-printed.
