CGW Computer/Technology Rules Procedures
All Carter G. Woodson School students will be required to adhere to the technology guidelines in the student handbook. If students do not adhere to the rules governing technology, and all of the guidelines, students can lose their log-in privileges and be subjected to disciplinary actions.
Student Agreement: I am indicating that I have read the Carter G Woodson School Electronic Device Program Electronic Device Policy, Procedures, And Information Form. I understand and agree to follow CGW’s Electronic Device Form. I understand any violation of these guidelines will result in the loss of my user account, and may result in other disciplinary action, the revoking of all technology privileges, and the possible referral to outside legal entities. I agree to report any misuse of technology and the network resources to my teacher and any other school official.
Testing Requirement (Required State Testing)
Students in the CGW Online Learning are Carter G. Woodson School students and must take all state tests. Transportation will be provided to the student to take any required test by the state of North Carolina.
Student Responsibility
Students will be required to complete online assignments. This will require a serious commitment to do independent work. Students must be in contact with their teachers. Students that do not reply to teachers’ are in violation of the school’s attendance policy.
Parent Responsibility
Parents must check, follow and monitor student progress and maintain communication with teachers. If an address, email, or phone number changes, parents must notify the school to update.
By submitting this application, I understand that the CGW reserves the right to drop the student from the program. I understand that the online school will be responsible for my course grade and that all grades earned online will appear on my official school record for all grade levels. Once your child enrolls online, your child cannot enroll in-person instruction (if in-person instruction is allowed) until the end of the quarter.
Parent Acknowledgement
I acknowledge that I am the legal guardian of the above student and have the authority to submit this application on his or her behalf.
