About the Conference:
ROCK Open Knowledge Week is a virtual journey and interactive online experience.
Cultural heritage and the cultural sector have been heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. But this moment has also become an opportunity to rediscover how heritage and cultural activities have vital importance for keeping our cities alive, and beyond, how cultural interactions are at the core of the well-being of our societies.
Over the past three years, ten ROCK cities -Athens, Bologna, Cluj-Napoca, Eindhoven, Liverpool, Lisbon, Lyon, Skopje, Turin, and Vilnius- were developing innovative solutions that demonstrate how cultural heritage can be the driving force behind the city’s overall sustainability. Supported by service providers and knowledge brokers from among project partners, the ROCK cities tested and advanced numerous tools and approaches aimed at shaping sustainable, heritage-led urban futures. At the the ROCK Open Knowledge Week they will share their results, lessons learned and best practices.
