Despite being first time breeders, here at Goldrush Racing Sleddogs we have paid a lot of attention to raising puppies with the best start in life possible. We will do a huge amount of work to ensure our pups are confident, friendly, outgoing, and responsive to training. It’s a full time job being involved in training dogs and raising puppies. In addition to this program, we will undertake a ‘lead dog’ test at 7-8 weeks of age. This test will help us identify the drive level and potential of each puppy to be confident lead dogs when they reach maturity.

Puppies will be raised with a well balanced diet, vaccinations, worming, and vet checks. Pepper has tested clear for genetic diseases, and is from health tested lines. Her dam Terri was graded A1 hips (excellent), elbow scored 0:0. Cafu has had blood tests and screening for general health, and his dam-side brother has been graded A1 hips, elbow scored 0:0. His bloodline has no known hip or health problems into old age. You can see lots of information about these dogs on our website.

- We understand this can be a very exciting time for our potential puppy buyers! Starting at 8-10 weeks of age we will allow our approved homes on our waiting list to make their picks in the order they were approved. Once you make your pick we require a $250 non-refundable deposit to hold until delivery of your puppy. Deposit goes towards final purchase price of the puppy.
  
  We completely understand the urge for potential buyers to want to come visit our puppies. We will not allow any visitors until the puppy are 6 weeks of age. After this age, the puppies will have their first round of shots which protects them against certain illnesses very common in puppies.
  
  We will post weekly updates (at least!) of our puppies so you will see many photos and videos of the puppies until you are able to meet them.
  
  If you prefer to wait to make your pick until you can meet the puppies, we are more than happy to allow you to come pick in person after the puppies are 6 weeks of age. However, puppies are unlikely to have been placed prior to 8 or even 10 weeks due to the nature of our sport and the importance of evaluating them thoroughly.

- Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Jarrad Muir & Zahra Goldsmith, but it does not guarantee I'll get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.
  
  If this application is approved, you'll be notified when the puppies are born and be required to send a $250 non-refundable deposit in order to hold the puppy of your choice. Please note our deposit policy: if you make a deposit, you are committing to take a puppy from the litter, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available. Should you elect to not take a puppy from the litter, the deposit is forfeited. We do the best to match preferences. Deposits are non-refundable.
  
  We are breeding for ourselves in the first instance, and the mushing community comes second. We are looking to keep puppies out of our litters and we reserve the right to hold puppies. This may mean that certain puppies may not be available for a couple weeks while we decide on if we may keep the said puppy or not.
  
  Puppies will go to their new homes at 8-10 weeks. We cannot hold puppies for extended times unless other written arrangements are made. Puppies must be picked up within 7 days unless other written arrangements are made.
  
  We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialise our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.
  
  If you purchase "No Breeding Intentions" we may require OSS or Vasectomy before they leave for their new home. The procedure will be undertaken by our reproductive specialist vet and at our expense.
