Dear Parents,
As sleep and potty training consultants, we are dedicated to helping families improve both the quality and quantity of their family life. We look forward to supporting you through the process of improving yours! This letter is our agreement regarding our services. We agree to the following:
Our Sleep Support Services: The consultation only sleep support option includes a 90-minute consultation and typed summary of our plan (provided with 24-48 hours) but does not include follow up support. You can purchase additional support for the same child at any time.
The consultation with follow up sleep support option includes the 90-minute consultation, typed summary of our plan and 4 weekly follow up calls (20-30 minutes each). These calls are scheduled in advance. This option also includes four weeks of daily email support.
Our Potty Support Services:The potty training support package includes a 60-minute consultation, two weeks of daily email support, and two (20-30 minute) phone calls to be used within those two weeks. These calls are scheduled in advance.
Our business hours are Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm. While we aim to reply to each call or email as quickly as possible during these hours, we are often conducting consultations and scheduled follow up calls and developing plans for ten or more families. Phone messages and emails will receive a reply within 24 hours during business hours, if not sooner. After business hours we periodically check emails and messages and will answer as we are able. We strongly believe in setting clear boundaries to avoid sacrificing family time. We also need downtime to recharge so we can best support you and manage our large client load.
For families who purchase a sleep or potty support option bundled with follow up support: You understand and acknowledge that any unused phone calls expire along with email support four weeks from the date of the initial sleep consultation and two weeks from the date of the initial potty training consultation. It is your responsibility to utilize the calls within that timeline. If we don't hear from you regularly, we will assume all is well and you are happy with your progress.
Should you need support after you have used all allotted phone time or if your time/support has expired, you can select an add-on option for returning clients (for the same child only).
Your Role: Your participation during this process is important for our plan to be effective. You agree to:
- Read the Safe Sleep Guidelines and Safer Cosleeping Guidelines (if you are a sleep client).
- Keep and share a daily sleep or potty log using the Baby Connect app (n/a for consultation only clients whose purchase does not include ongoing support).
- Consistently carry out steps outlined in the plan/our discussion.
- Communicate openly with me on any questions or concerns about our plan or your child's progress including any special needs, health issues, medical conditions, or emotional situations.
- Discuss your experiences as we go so we may make any necessary adjustments to our approach.
- Use any and all materials or manuals provided by Confident Parenting for your own personal use and not to share these materials with others.
Cancellation: We do not offer full or partial refunds in the event you choose to cancel your consultation or package without rescheduling. We are happy to hold a credit for future use. If you decide to reschedule an initial or follow up appointment we ask that you notify us at least one business day in advance so we may offer your appointment to another family. If a call is missed or rescheduled without 24 hours notice, we reserve the right to deduct the alotted time from your package of support.
Refunds/Guarantees: You understand and acknowledge that we do not offer a guarantee or refunds for any reason including, but not limited to, unused support time or dissatisfaction. While we are fully confident that the science behind our plan will be effective, we cannot be aware of or account for inconsistent implementation of the plan or other factors that may impact results such as illness, travel, developmental milestones, or life transitions. We also do not offer refunds in whole or in part if you decide to cancel your consultation/package with or without notice. We are happy to reschedule or to reserve the purchased support until you need to use it. In the event you need to reschedule or cancel your consultation more than once, we reserve the right to retain your payment without rescheduling again, provided we have given you notice of this.
Limitation on Liability: You understand that Confident Parenting is not a medical professional and will not advise you on medical conditions or make diagnoses. You also understand that your child’s sleep patterns or difficulty with sleeping or potty learning may be symptomatic of a condition for which medical intervention or medical treatment, including immediate intervention or treatment, would be required. If you have any reason to believe that your child’s sleep or potty difficulties may be related to a medical condition or that your child has health concerns that may be adversely affected by sleep or potty coaching, it is your responsibility to consult with your child’s health care professionals. You understand that you assume primary responsibility for the health of your child and, to the extent permitted by law, you will not hold Confident Parenting responsible by way of a claim or lawsuit for any injury, disability, death or other harm that results directly or indirectly from any services provided to you. If you are a sleep client, your signature confirms that you have been provided with and have read and understand the safe sleep recommendations made by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
