12. EMERGENCY MEDICAL ATTENTION AND VETERINARY CARE. Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden strives to provide its Clients with exceptional pet care and service. Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden works diligently to prevent accidents and injuries from occurring. However, despite the safety procedures and protocols enforced, as well as the precautionary measures that are taken, these can still occur regardless of how well the pet(s) are cared for. If the pet(s) require emergency veterinary care, transportation for emergency veterinary care and/or if the pet(s) becomes ill or if the state of the animal's health otherwise requires attention, Maggie McSpadden at her sole discretion, is authorized to engage the services of a veterinarian and/or emergency veterinary clinic or animal hospital. Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden is authorized to transport pet(s) to the veterinarian listed on the agreement (Client/Pet Owner’s veterinarian) and should the preferred veterinarian listed not be available and/or closed (or too far of a commute/location, if time is of the essence for serious and immediate life threatening emergencies), Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden is authorized to transport pet(s) to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic, animal hospital and/or to the South River Veterinary Clinic of Dr. Boulos, DVM, located at 135 Main Street, South River, NJ 08882 as default. Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden is authorized to arrange for other requisite attention to the animal up to and including $500.00. If a veterinarian determines that emergency treatment, which exceeds the authorized amount, is needed to save the animal’s life or quality of life, and we cannot reach you or the Emergency Contact(s), Maggie McSpadden may authorize the veterinarian to perform the emergency treatment. Owner agrees to be responsible for all veterinary costs provided to your animal(s). Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden is not liable or responsible for the actions and decisions of the veterinary staff that result in illness, injury and/or death. Client agrees to pay additional fees and charges for pet taxi transportation services, as well as compensation for Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden's time spent at the vet, at a rate of $25.00 per an hour. The Client will reimburse Maggie's Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden of charges accrued within 7 calendar days of return. The Client shall make direct payment to the veterinarian or veterinary clinic for services rendered to the Client's pet(s).
Maggie’s Doggie Care/Maggie McSpadden is insured and covered by pet care business insurance from Lloyd’s of London through PCI – PET CARE INSURANCE (petcareins.com). General Liability, Animal Baliee, Vet Bill Reimbursement ($250.00 deductible), Broadened Property Damage and Lost Key Coverage. Proof of insurance is available upon request and insurance display card can be found below.
