Because we are all volunteers working long hours, we cannot respond to calls, texts, or individual emails until you have been pre-approved on paper to move forward to the interview process. Once selected, you will receive notification by one of our volunteer committee members to discuss next steps of the approval process. All of your questions will be addressed at that time. I understand my newly adopted pet will take time and love to begin trusting that he/she is now safe at home with me. It takes about 3 days for a newly adopted rescue to begin feeling safe in a new environment. For the first 3 days I will give my new rescue space to decompress and let them come to me for comfort. I will not overwhelm them. I also understand it takes about 3 weeks to begin to see the genuine personality of my newly adopted rescue to begin to come out. It's a process of trust and relationship building that will take some time. *

I understand that my adopted pet has been to the vet and received an overall well-care visit, first round of vaccines, been treated with de-wormer, flea/tick prevention, and had both a blood test and fecal test for parasites. That said, I also understand that undetected parasites including Giardia, lingering worms, unkilled flea/ticks, and stress-induced diahreah can present themselves weeks later. Often it will take several rounds of de-wormer to fully eliminate and ocassionally a round of antibiotics to fully cleanse a rescue's system of lingering parasites. These rescues were all previously neglected and on the path to wellness.*

I also agree to hold Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch, Inc. harmless for any injuries or damages that I might sustain during the course of said pet ownership, wherever they may occur.*
