1. Each volunteer must act in good faith with honesty, dignity and integrity.
2. Each volunteer must contribute to an environment of respect, cooperation, and collegiality, no matter what differences might exist regarding race, religious belief or lack thereof, color, gender, age, disability, marital status, source of income, sexual orientation, etc.
3. Each volunteer understands that no harassment* of any kind will be tolerated by the organization.
*Harassment is defined as conduct or comments which are intimidating, threatening, demeaning or abusive and is behaviour which is known or ought reasonably to be known as unwelcome.
4. It is considered misconduct to speak out against the organization, fellow board members or volunteers to those outside the organization.
5. In the event that responsibilities require that an individual be in direct contact with minors, he/she must first undergo WIBCA’s screening process, which includes a mandatory police background check.
