Quick Intro-
I am a gentle handed custom tattooer who loves tattooing all types of subjects. With a style that is very illustrative, but uses high contrast, I enjoy pushing myself to create realistic scenes as well as bold designs that will last on the skin and look good as they stand the test of time. I create every tattoo based on your wants and create them uniquely which means they are a one-of-a-kind work of art! I have been focusing on larger projects lately and will always give priority on projects that have lots of bright color and creative freedom, although I do love to do black and grey as well. All of this takes a great deal of time so that is why I charge a strict hourly rate of $175 ($1000 day rate) and appreciate tips based on the amount of care and time I put into all aspects of the project!
BOOKING PROCESS-
My booking process is based off a wait-list to accommodate my repeat clients and I typically have a running waitlist going. So I don't open my books often to new clients because my waitlists are typically extensive and cover my available appointments. I also only book a few months at a time. If you want work from me, just send me what you're thinking with this form and see if I am interested in the project and it's something I want to do. If it is something I am interested in, which is more often that not, I will either book you or place you on my waitlist depending on where I am in my booking schedule and what my availbility looks like. If you are placed on my waitlist, I will reach out to you when I start booking in order the requests were recieved. It books fast so keep an eye out from an email from me. If I do not accept your design, it either is because it is a small project and I really only do small tattoos for repeat clients, or it is something that I don't feel I am the best fit for. I am being more strict with this. I wish I could take every project I am offered because I really do appreciate it, but I just can't so I have to deny more projects. This is NOT PERSONAL. I'd love to tattoo everyone. I am only one person and am really trying to be the best artist I can be and grow this coming year, so I am only going to take projects I really resonate with and align with where I am heading as an artist. PLEASE do not give me attitude, or call me names because of this. It makes me so upset and is not necessary. I just hope for mutual respect and only do this because I respect this process and want you to have the best artwork possible. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
TATTOO PROCESS
Consults-
After the initial email is sent, I will reach out to you ASAP. I typically answer emails within a few days to a week or so. Please be patient! If I decide to do the project or you've been on the waitlist and the time has finally come, I will book you for a consultation which is free or we can consult via email/ video/ whatever that works with you. If we choose to do an in-person consult, I will expect you to come with an idea ready or a good base of what you want. If you are very unsure, at least bring reference images or images of inspiration and we can go from there. I always love hand drawn scribbles so I can see what you're picturing! When we consult about the tattoo via in person, virutally, or email, I expect you to have a fairly concrete idea of what you want in your head. I am unfortunately not a mind reader so I can only go off of what you tell me during this consultation. I also refuse to draw things to see if that is what you want/like. You need to share with me what you are picturing however vauge that may be.
Deposits-
VENMO- @Mackenzie-Creedon (use emoji as description)
PAYPAL- mackenziecreedon@yahoo.com (friends and family not goods and services)
At the end of the consult, we will book the date of the tattoo where I will require a non-refundable deposit of at least $100 to $300 ($50-$100 for small, less than an hour tattoos that will equal my minimum tattoo price of $100; and $200 for tattoos that are larger and will take longer than an hour but no more than 3 hours; $300 for full day/ multiple day appointments). That money will go towards the total of the tattoo session if it is a one day session, or it will carry over as future deposits for multi-day sessions. Be prepared to wait up to several months for your appointment.
I prefer deposits to be sent to my Venmo or my Paypal. I recieve them instantly and there is no fee for you to use these platforms as long as you send them to me as FRIENDS AND FAMILY not goods and services. I also require you to send the deposit with a description that does not include that is a deposit for a tattoo. These platforms do not allow people to use them without paying which is crazy so if you just use a simple emoji, we can all be happy and not give these corporations more money. Thanks in advance for all that.
*******If you send the deposit as a goods and service, or some other way other that how I described where they take a percentage as a fee, I do not receieve the full amount you sent and that will reflect your deposit amount. Please send it correctly so you don't literally make money disappear. *******
I also accept deposits in-person via cash or card. You MUST schedule a time to do so via email and I must agree to it. Please do not just walk-in. Using a card as a way to give me a deposit or payment for the tattoo has a fee to use. It costs you money to use this service.
Once I have the deposit, I can book you on my schedule. If you choose a day and do not send me the deposit right away, I cannot hold that date. It becomes first come first served and you may lose the spot. Only once I have the deposit can you claim the space for your own. After the deposit is received and the appointment is booked, I will reach out to you a week to a few days before the appointment and create a rough draft of your stencil and keep you posted throughout the design process so we can collaborate as much as possible. I will work on the design until you give me verbal confirmation that you are happy with the design before the appointment.
THIS IS IMPORTANT! This deposit is what allows me to start drawing. I do not draw or design for free. The deposit covers me for the many hours of researching, correspondence, drawing, and designing I will have to do for the tattoo. If for some reason you cannot make the appointment and give me more than 72 hours to reschedule, you will not lose your deposit and it will follow you as long as you reschedule in a timely manner.
If you cancel last minute (less than 72 hours before the appointment) or you do not show up, your deposit it forfeited and you will need to put another one down to book another appointment. The only way the deposit is applied to the total of the tattoo is if the tattoo happens!
***I also have the right to cancel on you! This is very very rare but if you do not follow the above rules and expectations, I do not have to tattoo you. Tattooing is a privledge, not a right or a service I am required to do. If I cancel on you, please respect that decision and know that the deposit is still forfeited. I consider things that will make me cancel on the client as: complete redraws or large tweaks in the already agreed to design the day before or the day of the appointment, being rude to me, disrespectful, make me feel uncomfortable or make me redraw a design more than once due to you not knowing what you want.
I will require everyone who puts a deposit down and books a appointment slot in my schedule to sign your signature agreeing to what a deposit is and that it is NON-REFUNDABLE no matter what unless I agree to return it in extreme circumstances. Please find the place to sign your signature below which declares that you ACKNOWLEDGE and READ this information about deposits and you FULLY AGREE and ACCEPT them.
Cover-ups/Reworking old tattoos-
I typically do not take cover-ups now a days since they take a lot more work to do correctly and can be very hindering to the creative process. I always will ask to see what it looks like though because I do feel interested in some from time to time. Feel free to shoot your shot! If I do choose your tattoo and it requires the covering up or reworking of a previously done tattoo not by myself, it will take a while and I will charge accordingly. I am choosing not to charge an extra fee for them but I will very much expect the client to know there is no way to know how long it'll take and to be ready to pay for however long it does take. Also if it needs extra passes as some coverups do, I go back to my $200 minimum. The main thing I will require with taking a project like this is the creative freedom I need to make the tattoo look the way I want/need to.
Designs-
I love to collab and will send you rough drafts along the way but the finalized drawing won't be shown to you until day of. If you require large changes to the tattoo or any drawing that is more than just a simple tweak, I have the liberty to take the deposit and require a new one for a new appointment.
Tattooing-
My minimum is $200. The day of the tattoo, we will have very little time to tweak the design. But we will have plenty of time to make the design we agreed upon fit your body in a way we both find perfect. I will never force you to get the tattoo unless you are completely comfortable. During the tattoo, please come ready for the tattoo which includes payment and a day free of other obligations to accomodate for as long as the tattoo needs to be completed. Also, eat beforehand and be well rested. We supply snacks and drinks and aftercare for full day clients. Research what you will need for aftercare and be ready to give your body the rest and care needed to heal correctly. If you have any other questions I am an email away! I look forward to working with you!
Rescheduling-
If you cannot make your appointment, I require 72 hours heads up before the scheduled tattoo or you will lose your deposit. This is because I need at least 3 days to draw a new design for someone to fill the spot. If you let me know before then that you need to reschedule, that is totally fine and I will reschedule you to my next available appointment and the deposit will move with the new appointment. If you then need to reschedule again, the deposit will be forfeited and I will not reschedule the appointment. This has a lot to do the extra emailing and finding new clients/ designs for these reschedulings so I will only be able to allow it one time from now on. Also, if you need to reschedule an appointment but don't know when, the deposit will be forfeited. The deposit only stays with you if you reschedule. Please make an appointment if you know you are ready for it which includes transportation and finances.
Tardiness to appointment-
Just let me know if you are running late. I will begin charging for the session once the actual scheduled time begins so your lateness will be included in overall price of the piece. If you are over a half hour late and didn't let me know beforehand, I have the right to cancel the appointment and take the deposit and require a new one for a future appointment. I am incredibly understanding with this, just be communicative please. Lack of communication is a waste of my time and I will be more strict about this.
Accessibility-
We are unfortunately on the second level of an old building and the stairs are very steep. If you need assistance or if this prohibits you from getting a tattoo, please let me know and I will do my best to find a solution.
