  • Keeping a standard poodle is not an inexpensive venture, between quality food, veterinary care, monthly grooming and training. Are you confident that you know how much this dog will cost you to maintain and that you have the resources to do so?

  •

We require all buyers of breeding prospect dogs, to have their dog tested once they are two years of age and before they breed. Dogs must be tested for the various genetic diseases that standard poodles are susceptible to, including OFA or PennHIP x-rays for hip and elbow dysplasia, and examinations by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist and ophthalmologist for eye and heart problems. These tests can cost upwards of $700, depending upon your area.

  • Who will you use for the following services for your standard poodle? Who will you use for the following services for your standard poodle? Have you met them? How did you find them?

  •  Our goal is to remain in contact with our dogs and their owners for the dog’s lifetime. This enables us to provide support and guidance for any issues that arise with the dog but it also allows us to collect information on the health and personality of the dogs in our breeding program. We use email and Facebook for most of this contact but also love to meet with owners if we are traveling to their area or they come here.

  • Please provide names, addresses and phone numbers of people who could verify your qualifications and lifestyle such as the breeders of your present dogs, dog trainers, training partners, friends, and neighbors. You may use one family member reference but the other two must be non-family members. We strongly prefer email contact so please try to get correct email addresses. Missing email addresses will delay and possibly even stop processing of your application. If you have other dogs or cats, your last reference must be your veterinarian.
