To qualify the honoree must be an active duty member of the United States Armed Forces, have been honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces or died in the line of duty. The honoree must be a current Cherokee County resident or an immediate family member (parent, spouse, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, grandparent) of a current Cherokee County resident. Proof of residency may be required.
Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee. Once the application is verified and the funding for the banner has been received, the applicant will be notified of the approval. The committee may request additional documentation including military ID or DD 214 form.
APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:
1) Completed form
2) Photograph of a service member or a veteran in military uniform per submission guidelines.
3) Payment by cash, check or pay online by credit or debit card in the amount of $225 or $150.
