The goal of the HPRD is to provide a positive environment for youth sports. It is the responsibility of parents, players, volunteers, employees and spectators to maintain a positive environment throughout practice and league play. The HPRD will not tolerate verbal accusations or threats to any one including officials, staffs, players and volunteers. In the event you participate in such negative acts/manner you will be dismissed from the HPRD facilities by the games officials, staff or police. Parents and spectators must be a positive role model exhibiting sportsmanlike behavior at games and practice while giving positive reinforcement to their child and support to their volunteer coach. Parents, spectators and volunteers need to encourage fun, give lots of praise for the little success along the way and, when a child makes a mistake, separate the mistake form the child. Parents, spectators, and volunteers need to encourage peer support and give positive verbal support to team members, opponents and volunteer coaches.
