  • Survey Exercise: Reflecting on our journey so far and the future of exploration

How has our journey been and how does our future look like?
  • The aim of this survey exercise is to reflect individually on how our journey has been as Explorers and how our future looks like (and how we want it to look like). To do so, this survey is organized in four categories (expectations, the actual job, Explorers added value and general information).

Explorers will have a two-week time frame to answer this survey. Results will then be analysed and presented during the Explorers Global Summit, activating a conversation between the Explorers and the AccLab Global Team about the Exploration role's learnings and visions about our future.

This survey is not only meant as a space for capturing the methods we've been using or the activities we've conducted, but also as a space for total honesty and catharsis about our journey so far, ups and downs, which is why the survey is anonymous.

  • Expectations

  • As Explorers and a part of the newly established Accelerator Labs Network, we developed several expectations around our role based on our ToR and guidance from the Global Team and CO throughout the onboarding process.

  •
  •
  •
  • The actual job

  • When expectations meet reality. Besides our ToR and the guidance from the Global Team, the CO reality and its understanding about the Lab and each role also conditioned the exploration role and the actual job/tasks we do.

  • Accelerator Lab Capabilities

  •

  • Since you started working at the Accelerator Lab, how would you say that you’ve distributed your time?

“Thinking exploration”: Time you spend actually analyzing, thinking, reflecting; facilitating training. In sum, producing learnings and intelligence around development challenges, either on your own or with other people:

“Habilitating exploration”: All the tasks that eventually allow you to perform exploration functions and learning cycles: financial supervision of the project, procurement processes, administrative tasks, project management/coordination, etc.:

“Socializing exploration”: All the tasks that lead to communicating the Lab’s work and generate buy-in (from CO, AccLab members, partners, the broad ecosystem): forging new partnerships; communication activities; disseminating the learnings of exploration in conferences, panels, networking events, keynotes, etc.:

“Improving exploration”: All the tasks that lead to the improvement of the project, such as: monitoring and evaluation of the project, attending trainings:

“Engaging the network”: Weekly calls, regional calls, etc.

  •
  • Explorers' Added Value.

  • The value we’ve brought and wish to bring. In this section we aim to reflect on the added value we have been bringing as Explorers during our journey so far, and also on what we should be aiming for in the next part of our journey.
