ELIGIBILITY: High school graduating seniors, undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Funds will be made available to full-time students enrolling in colleges or universities offering poultry curriculum in the eleven western states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington) and the western provinces of Canada.
CRITERIA: Awards are based on several factors including but not limited to the following: your demonstrated interest and commitment to a poultry related career, scholastic achievement, financial need, and the overall content of the application (spelling and grammar will be elements taken into consideration).
INSTRUCTIONS: Application must be COMPLETED IN FULL INCLUDING STUDENT SIGNATURE. This application is not complete unless an Advisor Letter and official transcripts are mailed separately from the advisor and the respective school to the WPSRF office located at 1521 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 on or before November 14, 2024.
ADVISOR LETTER DESCRIPTION: Applicant must have a separate one to two-page letter sent direct from their respective High School Principal, or Poultry Academic Advisor or Major Department Head at their institution. Criteria for the letter should include information relative to the applicant’s character, leadership ability, commitment to scholastic endeavors, and interest in the poultry industry. The letter also must list and verify the applicant’s accumulative grade point. The letter must be mailed by the advisor to the WPSRF office located at 1521 "I" Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 on or before November 14, 2024.
TRANSCRIPT: Applicant must also have an official transcript (student schedules do not suffice as an official transcript; please contact the registrar’s office for an official copy of transcript) sent from the respective institution to the WPSRF office located at 1521 “I” Street, Sacramento, CA 89514 on or before November 14, 2024.
