Common reasons for denial are incomplete forms or lack of sufficient proof of 60%+ of the student body receiving free or reduced lunch. This application is for schools seeking financial assistance through the Cincinnati Zoo's Living Classroom Education Access Fund (LCEAF) or funding we have received from the Department of Education (DOE). In order to qualify for financial assistance, 60% or more of your students must be enrolled to recieve free or reduced lunch (through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)).

The LCEAF grant and DOE funding has been providing students attending qualifying schools with free Zoo programming since 2012 and 2019, respectively.

In order to be considered, this application needs to be completed fully upon submission. Submission of this form does not guarantee registration for the dates requested.
- Due to the nature of the video conferencing platform, capacity is limited. Grants are awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
- Teachers may book more than one program. In order to accommodate large groups, teachers may need to book multiple program dates.
- Please note that each program can accommodate multiple classes, therefore, we cannot guarantee that your school/class will be the only one in attendance.

- If your application is incomplete and you are asked to resubmit it, please understand that funds are limited and will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Therefore, resubmission does not guarantee financial aid and the application will not be considered until it is completed and requirements are met.
- If you are approved for financial assistance, Zoo staff will contact you via email with further instructions.
- If you receive financial assistance, you are only approved for the number of students listed in your application.
- If you receive financial assistance, all requirements must be met (ie. post-surveys).
- We maintain records of requirements being fulfilled and failure to do so may affect future financial assistance requests.
